Well..I heard and read that Paul will be appearing at the Barclays Center, in Brooklyn, NY, (a borough of NYC) in June (the 8 and 10th, respectively), and that part of Atlantic Avenue will be renamed "Abbey Road" through June. How cool is that?

Markowitz and CEO of the Barclys Center Brett D. Yormark announce that part of Atlantic Avenue will be renamed, 'Abbey Road' through June.

The former Beatle’s concerts are part of his 2013 “Out There” tour, and mark McCartney’s first New York City gig since last year’s 12-12-12 benefit concert. McCartney also played concerts in Yankee Stadium in 2011 and Citi Field in 2009.

It’s the latest coup for the Barclays Center, which in a few short months has lured a who’s who of music megastars to challenge the dominance of Madison Square Garden. In the past few months, Beyonce, Rihanna, Bruno Mars, Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez have all announced performances at the home of the Nets.

“Finally, finally, an artist whose music I actually know,” quipped Markowitz of McCartney, who was not on hand for the publicity stunt.

Sir Paul last performed in the city at the "12-12-12" concert for Sandy at Madison Square Garden.

Markowitz was kidding, of course, as The Who, the Rolling Stones, Neil Young, Jay-Z and Bob Dylan have already performed at the new venue.

Tickets will go on sale Monday April 22 at 10 a.m. on Ticketmaster.com. American Express card members will get a headstart, with tickets available April 19 at 10 a.m. in a presale.

I checked out the prices. Would give anything to have premium floor seats to see the show, but they run over a thousand.  I have no idea what decent seating is for us "poor" folks. ;)  Upper level, lower level and mid level..are all just "sectional" parameters and say nothing about where within those sections is the best view.  From everything I could see, "floor" and "lower level" seats close enough to the stage would be ideal. I saw a picture from someone who posted something from section 25 (lower level) to see a "Rush" concert, and the view was great.  I'd be willing to pay $500 a piece for me and my niece to go. Yes, I'm up to my eyeballs in debt, but it would be worth it to put a smile on her face. (She's a "Paul girl").  But I just saw the dentist yesterday, and an $750 quote for a "cap" for my tooth and $300 for a mouth guard (thank you, bruxism and TMJ) just takes the wind out of my sails. I am so upset..and honestly, if I were gonna see Paul, I don't want to pay nearly $200 to be close to the moon. Sorry. That just seems like quite a lot to "witness" an "ant" onstage and have to rely on the screens, which I would barely be able to see without binoculars, anyway.

Oh, well, Paulie. You got away from me, again. :/
