So I have a crush on a guy who is sort of engaged. We've been hanging out and what not since he doesn't live in the same state as his fiance. Well, tonight I went out with my friend Apollo who made a good point...why am I putting myself in the position to be hurt? I know that this guy loves his fiance and I know that I would never want him to cheat

What's all this about fate taking control? There's no reason to wait for your heart to be broken hun. Some things take initiative. I say ask god for advise, Then (AND THIS IS THE REALLY IMPORTANT PART) Shut up, stop and listen to what god's answering. It may not be what you want to hear, and you don't have to do what he says, but it's the answer that's best suited for you.
Personally i think apollo is right, you should get out now before it really hurts. Maybe try to date someone who's un-attached, and set yourself boundaries you know you can keep wihin, state them flat out to whomever it is your dating, and keep within them.
