I'm sorry to hear about your gramma being in hospice. I enjoyed reading about her connections to the family and wish you all peace and comfort during this time.

Aww, that's awesome that your grandma could be awake and lucid to appreciate the well-wishes of children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. So sorry she's not well, but so glad she has family visiting.

And on a lighter note, so glad cub scouts and home repair went well, too.

My sympathies to you and A. in this difficult time. At times I can scarcely believe I lost the last of my grandparents nineteen years ago, and the first more than twice that. It cuts deeper the older one is, especially once you have children and see more of yourself in that growing generation. You start to wonder if your parents ever saw themselves in you as a child, and their parents saw them. The circle of life continues, for how long we cannot say. Spend every moment you can with your grandmother, and look forward to the day when you find yourself surrounded by children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren come to say farewell. Cherish it, and know that you are blessed.
