That's a nice characteristic - that's a good thing to remember.

I remember 1992 all too well. 1992 was the year I discovered the Bears Mailing List. At first glance, I assumed it was for fans of the football team, but then some surprising word (gay?) caught my eye and changed my life.

Prefab Sprout is a name I recognise immediately, but I couldn't name a single song of theirs. Is it a name I only saw in college airplay charts?

Probably. They were pretty big in the UK, not even remotely big here. I remember hearing of them in high school but not hearing them until that summer of 1994.

I was wondering why I didn't get the ABQ connection - but you have to get to the end of the song. And wow - I really like the song - although it sounds more 80s than 90s to me.

One thing about NM - it's really hard to beat the place names.

Yeah, it's the chorus (Hot dog / Jumping frog / Alburquerque). The song is from the 80s, not the 90s, so you're definitely hearing it right. :)
