I have now lost 15.2 pounds (as of this morning's weigh-in). Happily, I have discovered that if I actually eat a bit MORE I am losing faster! My daily calorie goal ("net calories" - which is calories taken in minus calories spent) is 1520. I had been coming in most days at just a bit more than 1000 net calories. Mostly out of hunger and a smidge

I used to not believe that whole "eat more to lose weight" thing but it's absolutely true. Everyone has a "magic number" of calories for getting to or maintaining their weight, and usually you get to eat quite a bit (as long as you're not eating a bunch of junk)!! :)
