Fitness Update Number 5 (I think!)

Jun 24, 2011 09:04

So, I've been at this fitness/weight-loss thing for approximately 6 months now. I'm actually quite close to my original goal weight of 135 lbs. Once I get there, I will re-assess if I want to stay at that weight or go for a bit more. At the moment, I am just a bit more than 2 pounds away (meaning I've lost about 30 pounds!).

On to the pics!

There's Less of Me to Love But I hope You Won't Love Me Any Less. )

holy crap! What a big difference!!!! Wow, you look great! You looked great before, too, but you now look all sleek and toned! (Were you doing exercise? Tell me what you did because I am ENDLESSLY fascinated by people's health journeys because I'm a nerd that way -- seriously, I read people's weight loss journey blogs for fun! :D)

Haha - thanks! :D

Basically, the formula I've been following is less food, more exercise (as unexciting as that is :p). I am not, by any stretch of the imagination, an athlete, so I stick to simple types of exercising. I try my best to walk around 1 hour per day. I also do stretching/toning exercises a couple of times per week (my goal is 3 times a week but I hardly ever make that goal :-/). The toning exercises I've found that seem to work best for me are Callanetics (not to be confused with calisthenics ;-) [see website here, in case you don't know what I'm talking about: http://www.callanetics.com/about.php]. I think it works best for me because you see results very quickly (and I'm impatient! :p).

Anyway, that's it in a nutshell! :)

Interesting! Callanetics! :D

I'm such a boring exerciser -- just running and walking. No toning. I could stand to tone up. Those look interesting!

The best thing about them is that they are sooo easy on your back and knees. :)
