Okay... so if you think the "holiday" is bogus then simply choose to not participate in the parts you feel are not authentic.

Why the hate? This is the part I don't understand. If you don't feel the "holiday" is worth celebrating, then don't. Go do something you would enjoy and value during the time. Or do nothing. Or whatever.

I'm not Christian. I am happy that for whatever reason, people I don't get to see very often will gladly travel to be together, so I enjoy that and I give little thought to the rest.

Jesus was a Jew, but the faith of Judaism doesn't believe that Jesus was the son of God. How could they believe this? They forced his crucifixion, so they think Jesus was a great man, but they do not believe that you should celebrate his birth, especially in a way of worshipping

Xmas isnt needed for the economy, people dont need an escuse to spend money, they just like the fact that they have one, and I can think of many many reasons as to why you should spend money on other people, Xmas isnt one of them
