1. What possible reason could the Soviets give for breaking off relations with the Polish government-in-exile?

Due to the fact that the Polish government-in-exile would not believe the Soviets when they said that the Germans and the International Red Cross embellished the discovery of mass graves of Polish soldiers killed with Soviet weapons, the Soviets broke off their diplomatic relations with the Polish government-in-exile.

2. Why did Moscow dissolve the Comintern?

The Soviets dissolved the Comintern because they wanted to show the rest of the Allies that they were not trying to start a communist revolution throughout the world, as the Comintern them implied.

3. What issue remained unsettled after the Moscow Conference of Foreign Ministers?

The status of the Polish government in exile remained unsettled because Russia did not want to recognize them.

The decision that Japan would loose ll of the land that it had gained since 1914 and that the Allies would fight against Japan until the Japanese surrendered.

The assurance that he received from the Allies that they would defeat Germany, as well as the land he received.

The most awkward decision made by the European Advisory Commission on that date was the fact that they put Berlin in the middle of the Soviet Zone and left the administration in Berlin to a military Kommandatura.

Italy and China were not mentioned there.

12. What evidence is there that the west had justification to mistrust the Soviets?

The way that the Soviets viewed the Yalta conference could have made the West weary. Also, the hesitation that the Soviets showed in helping to fight Japan. On top of that, there is the whole issue with the mass graves of polish soldiers captured by the Soviets and the Soviets' previous ties with Japan and the Comintern.
