even though i'm not in "You're A Good Man Charlie Brown", i'm so pissed off that we are being forced to use the original script. this means that some people who may have been in drama for 5 or 6 years and have had many leading roles say maybe two lines the whole show because their part was cut. they don't even get to talk in the show, its a 30 ( Read more... )

Although I sympathize with those who lost parts, and believe me, I do, there is no fighting or begging with a celebrity estate. I agree he shouldn't have added all the parts in the first place, but the way I see it, although this seems worse than sticking to the original, its probably about the same if not better.

For instance, if we did the original only, it could have ended up with noone having ANY lines except for the 3-5 people casted to a part.

Or... he could have multi-casted distributing parts to EVERYONE, and then each person would have approximately one line.

Or... our school could be like a real school and cast each part singly and those who cant act & sing dont get the part. (Of course I wouldn't like it either considering my lack of acting skills but what can we do)
