Vegans, Freegans, Hippies, Whores and Retards
After a conversation tonite, I think its time to rip on some hippies.
Ok, so you want to drop out of this capitalist machine? You want to be self-reliant and DIY? Do it yourself... stop renting a house, stop using electricity, heat your house with fire, and I dont want to see a car within 100 yards of any of you. Stop wearing synthetic fabrics, using plastics, and you had better stay away from any manufactured fragrance or modern western medicine. Make your own african style drums, craft your own guitar including the pick ups, design your own amp. Make your own god damned sandals. Grow your own food and milk your own soybeans.
As for vegans, you as a human, are an omnivore. So what makes you think you know better than billions of years of evolution, so much to the fact that you give yourself the right to condemn others for eating meat. Now, I support animal rights and fair treatment for our little friends, theres no reason to hurt or mistreat an animal. But in the end we are still on the top of the food chain and you want to give that up just because you feel guilty. I hope a bear eats part of you, or a shark. Maybe that will help you appreciate staying on top of things.
Freegans, your philosophy must one of the most stupid things Ive ever heard of. A diet of mostly free things that you find, mostly while dumpster diving. Yes, dumpster diving packaged food is safe, but you have a failed philosophy, what about perishables and how in theory would it be possible to either raise a child on that sort of diet or to grow up living that way? Now since its a diet of 'mostly' free things, I dont think you deserve the title of 'Freegan' because you are bound to consume something thats not free probably on a dialy basis. Atleast vegans have a right to call themselves vegan. But you freegans, thats like me calling myself a virgin, since I havent had sex since a certain time period.
You think that what all of you are doing is social protest and social change that could actually help this country? You are wrong. Shower, shave, get a job, and talk to people. Vote, educate others, be an active participant to encouraging change for the better. Volunteer, be a role model, build houses for the needy, teach a child to read. But being a smelly, hairy, strangely dressed, self rightous asshole, will only alienate you from those who need to be reached. You scare away middle America.
Well, so you say you want to leave? How will you leave, walking will only get you so far on this continent and you will still need a passport from this so called capitalist machine. And thats costs money. And how will you afford it? Well you could sell your own home grown organic vegetables, but that would make you a capitalist. Make and sell hemp jewelry, tye-dye clothing, and hand made 'herbal' pipes? You would have to buy all the original materials first, and then sell the finished product in order to make... a profit! So that would make you a consumer as well as a capatalist pig. Sorry kids, but Uncle Sam's problems can only be fixed from the inside. Stop marching in the streets of Seattle and actually do something worthwhile in your life and the lives of others.
Oh, and by the way. Oil companies dont care that you are riding a bike to save the earth and protest blah blah blah. You are small change to them and wont ever affect their profits or practices by riding that bike everywhere. Same thing goes for stealing from WalMart and other large retailers. You misguided fool.
