A New Year, a new Meme (of sorts)

So being inspired by spikydave , I plan to recount 2008.  I don't keep a journal, and if this is what passes for it, my life has been pretty uneventful except where events devour my life.  So I'm gonna try to give the rundown of the year.  I'm probably going to do it month by month.
