Why my Mom sucks

The Father’s Day stress has started. MIL is already on top of me to find out what our plans are. DH said he doesn’t want to spend all day over there but that is probably what will end up happening…he will get over there and then his Mom will want to cook something and then before you know it, the whole day is shot. I would like to go over early

OMG I can so much relate. My own mother, who's as much of a bitch as my MIL is always like "oh my God I don't know how you deal with your MIL, **I'D** NEVER be like that"

How does one tactfully say to their mother that she causes you as much annoyance as the MIL? I just keep my yap shut. I hate my family. The one good thing about them is they've taught me how NOT to raise my daughter.

wow! I sent my mom an email that was sort of nasty (she's always making negative comments about things and she seems to think she can control everything) and she never replied... when I talked to her in person she made no mention of the email and didn't bring the topic up again. I was waiting for a response and never got one.... she just pretended it never happened.

I would talk to your DH before you go over to your MIL's house. She might bring it up to your DH and then he'll come to you and you might end up disagreeing in front of MIL and she would probably enjoy that - if she's anything like other MIL's.
