I think you get your new name before you get to heaven. It is between you and God. You will know it when you get it. It isn't like names here on earth. You will always be Abbie. It will be more like Princess Abbie, Abbie the Beautiful, Precious Abbie, Abbie the Chosen, My Precious Daughter Abbie, etc. Maybe all these names. You will be the only one to know your name. It is the pet name that God calls you by. You are his precious daughter. If he hasn't told you your name yet, it isn't the right time. I didn't get my name until I was 32. Be patient and wait to hear from God. He loves you so much that when he says your name, you will feel like the most beautiful, wonderful, loved woman on earth. Keep listening. When you hear it, you won't care what anyone calls you ever again, because you will know what and who you are to God and others opinions of you won't even matter. You will be truly free of the words people speak of you or too you. You will be yourself and exactly who God made you to be. Total freedom! It is a

Eva just wrote this and I thought it went well with what we were talking about.

Just look at all the names God gave Jesus. Jesus was his earthly name, but he had many many more given to him by his Father. His earthly name has not been forgotten, just added to.
