...I. I was only working for two weeks! I've barely recovered any of my work! How could I have overloaded anything?!

Looks like I have some time to kill. Might as well collect more information on this ship the old-fashioned way.

Any recommendations on where I should start?

[ooc: ohgod where did I go I'm so sorry xD;; I'll do better now that ( Read more... )

*Leaves the elevator and goes to blink as she looks around. Where was she again? A small sigh emits from her lips as she just goes to walk into the hallway. Not sensing any type of danger.... Yet.*

[Washu wasn't a woman known for patience. Sure, she'd managed to be patient with people and situations in the past, but if she had to choose, she'd rather keep moving - so long as things were still in her hands and not up in the air. She'd know when to back off when necessary, and just observe (and if things were going poorly, she'd... 'help'). That fact in mind, she impatiently left her room and meandered around the halls. No destination, but she was marking her path with mental bread crumbs, so to speak. A sense of direction wasn't something to leave behind. It'd be nice if she could just run into someone and bother them to give her a little tour with some *zest*, but... well, considering the woman she managed to catch sight of, zest seemed unlikely. Oh well, even depressing flavor was flavor, of a sort. She shrugged to herself and walked toward the woman.]

"Hey, you. Lost?"

[Small talk first - she hoped Japanese would work. This may have been someone she'd spoken to already, but there was no way to tell yet. Washu might have ( ... )

*11 was tired both physically and mentally. The female weapon hears the voice and goes to look towards the source.... A down, way down to look at Washu. That was Japanese. Her native language. She goes to respond back in Japanese.*

A little but I can easily find my way around. Are you lost?

*She goes to look down at Washu with colorless eyes and some blood on her face. The source of the blood she won't reveal. Ever.*

[Curiouser and curiouser. Well, if the mysterious girl wasn't going to clue Washu in, Washu could figure it out herself. With a broad smile, she pats her on the shoulder.]

"Just the opposite. I'm exploring. If you've been here awhile, you should show me around."

[The part she didn't mention, and hoped would go unnoticed, was that with that pat on the shoulder, she released a tiny little bug - just a temporary information-gathering one - directly onto the black-haired woman. It could give Washu any data she wanted, be it DNA, emotional readings, or even memories. Yeah, so she kept quiet and folded her arms behind her back now, looking up at the stranger pleasantly.]

Why, you need only look for the sort of chap who knows his starboard from his port, and I happen to be familiar both with sweet Portuguese wines and fantastical cosmos torture devices, so you can settle in right where and whence you are and enjoy the onslaught of information that I have give!

Well, free information's always a good thing.

I would hardly say "always," all things considered. You'd understand if you had ever visited Pittsburgh. Pennsylvanian roustabouts are characteristically loose-lipped and empty-headed (also flat-boweled and pink-ankled, but that's a tale for another day!)

Well, that works if you believe in 'too much information'. I can never have too much.

Most people tend to get fair results with open-ended questions.

Fair works for me. I wouldn't really trust anyone's answers, anyway; better to see for myself.

What--uhm--what k-kind of information are you l-looking for?

Well, since I have to investigate on foot, I guess directions or someone's 'favorite places' might be a start.

[[ooc:also, she likes the stutter.]]

Oooh, A library sounds great! Believe it or not, I haven't even left my room yet. What kind of flowers are on deck thirteen?
