Ahh, Cafe-land. I think I dislike it. That may possibly stem from how the only non-coworker-friendly people I've ever seen in bookstore work are there, sniping about how this girl's doing this guy and they hate this guy and he's incompetent and her dress looks like a washrag and they hate him/her/it. It's probably a good thing I didn't get the sup. position there, I would've written everyone up until they were gone and I got new ones.
We're pretty co-worker friendly at our cafe. There's just one manager who is generally ineffectual that we all can't stand ( I keep hoping he goes to the new store so I don't have to deal with him anymore. He's a poopface).
As for my old car, I got into an accident at the end of June. I was yielding on a green light trying to make a left turn off a very busy street. I was waiting for a while, and then the light turned yellow and I tried to make the turn real fast before I had to wait through another red light. Unfortunately for me, the guy coming straight had the same idea and couldn't slow down fast enough (it was raining) to not hit me. While all I really needed was a new door, the insurance company decided my car was a total loss and sent us a check. I ended up losing my MP3 player during the accident, too (it flew out the window)!
I turned 25 on the 20th. It's hard to believe I've been alive for a quarter century. It just makes me realize how badly I need to move the fuck out of my house!
