Are airsoft guns like pellet guns?

i dont know what a pellet gun is.
an airsoft gun shoot little plastic bbs and is powered by this weird cold gas or batteries.
and they try to look exactly like real guns. big ones!

Oooo I know what they are. I heard they were illegal to shoot or something? My sister's boyfriend has one and went out with it and got fined for it. He had to go to court and all that.

This weekend I got shot in the neck by a new sniper rifle that Joe brought. He was probably 20 feet away from me. 500 fps.
