Apparently, in Washington State, the rule is “two days or one trial”: if you aren’t chosen for a trial on the first day of your summons, you have to come back the next day, but even if you aren’t chosen that day either then you duty is considered fulfilled. Our 1-year wedding anniversary was this past Sunday. We had a visitor, so we didn’t really celebrate it then, but last night we went out for a nice meal at this little place nearby. A bit over a week ago the neighbors were complaining about the trees in our yard, that the ones in the back are growing over fences and the one in the front is getting too close to the power lines. Time gets a little weird when we don’t go to Prost on Tuesday and/or there’s no gaming on Wednesday. And I’ve been working a bit late each day, so the days seem longer. We did hang out on Tuesday, we met J-Walt’s girlfriend and dog, we just went to Beveridge Place, a bar in West Seattle that allows dogs instead of Prost.

There’s this house that we looked at renting, before we would up in our current place. It’s pretty close to where we are, and it’s actually a duplex, with unit in the finished basement that’s about the same size as the main unit. We applied, but we didn’t get it. I definitely wish I had a little more vacation I could throw around so I could have taken time off around GenCon. And money enough to afford a flight out there that doesn’t leave at 5:30AM.
