I asked machiiina this but I'm interested enough to ask all of you:

What type of tea do you like?

Cut because I get really enthusiastic! )

Oh man. I used to be all "Tea? Pshtt. That's like hot water, right? Am I right?" But writing workshops, intense cold, band practice (we drink tea, it's very rock and roll) and the desire for stimulants - any stimulants - during the stuvac is slowly turning me into a fiend. I guess Russian Caravan is pretty awesome, but this (roibush? roybush?) tea that the guitarist makes is great as well.

I too was of that camp, particularly when I worked in a cafe with free good coffee on demand, and the only teas on offer were the nanna teas. (fyi, chamomile (sp?) tea is the worst idea evs.) And even now the teas I like are pretty tame, but that is because when you drink tea as much as I do, you can't afford to splash out on the fancy stuff. That said Russian Caravan is pretty decadent, if I could find it in loose-leaf/larger-than-ten-teabag-sizes, I would be on a tea drip right now.

I do not drink rooibos because I had it in ice tea form and the horrid taste scarred me. Feel free to convince me otherwise though.

Ah, yeah, that would be Emrah's heavy Turkish accent showing through there. :) I don't know what rooibos ice cream would be like (probably gross, I'm willing to admit) but the tea is goodtimes.

English breakfast is getting pretty boring now that I am slowly diversifying! Also, I tried ceylon tea for the first time in ages and was disappointed in its shittiness. Oh why.

Did you try that diet tea? We have oolong at home (several years ago my father went on a Chinese tea binge, you can see how such habits run in the family) but I've never tried it because HAVE YOU SEEN OOLONG TEA BALLS

I think I'm still yet to find the perfect herbal tea! Most of the time I dump obscene amounts of sugar into my tea so the delicate teas I have yet to appreciate still...

The types of tea I would love to try:
- vanilla tea
- lime tea
- cranberry tea
- apricot tea (haha only because there's a lovely song by The Robot Ate Me that has this for a name)
So any store selling vanilla tea sounds stupendously exciting. It kind of makes me want to visit Canberra before you head to Melbs, just for your store! Not because you're there or anything, oh no.

Also what on earth has happened to Kateface? I haven't heard from her lately and I know she's alive but still. I miss you two quite a bit.

wow, those teas sound pretty amazing. kate and i went to T2 yesterday and spent AGES sniffing all the teas. it was awesome.

you should come and visit canberra when i get back from melbs! we would have a ball. for srs, you're totally welcome.

kate has been busy with school work and is driven enough to ban herself from the internets. im amazed. hahha. she's back now though!

i miss you too, man, haven't seen you in AGGGGGESSS. i should be heading up to syd a few times in the spring though, to see conor oberst and the faint hopefully. and maybe albert hammond jr at splendour time.
