I asked machiiina this but I'm interested enough to ask all of you:

What type of tea do you like?

Cut because I get really enthusiastic! )

Sadly, I am not a tea lover :( Well. I LOVE 'normal' tea - Twinings organic English breakfast with waaaaay more sugar than is healthy, strong and with milk. And Yorkshire Gold. Both of which are nicer than 'standard' Brit teas. But flavours and things? I am meh. And I cannot STAND iced tea.

I guess I'm more for coffee, since I can drink it anywhere, anyhow, hot, cold, flavoured, weak, strong.

But! I do have a tea-related shirt! Does that redeem me?!

I KNOW. I drink tea with a 4:2:1 ratio, what being it's sugar:tea:water. Uh.

Ice tea is pretty shitty unless you make it yourself :D with lots and lots of sugar :D although long island ice tea kind of trumps everything else if you follow this path :D :D :D

SEND ME A TEA SHIRT PLEASE. Oh no, the puns to ensue.

Also YOU ARE A BRITON. HOW CAN YOU NOT LOVE TEA? This is like. Established fact that Brits love tea like Australians love Tim Tams.

NO NO YOU HAVE ME ALL WRONG!! I LIKE PROPER TEA - SO STRONG YOU CAN STAND A SPOON IN IT AND WITH MILK. But all these fancy teas - no thankyou. And they are not a British thing either.

ALSO WHY DID I NOT NOTICE YOU TALK ABOUT SAM/LINDSAY THE FIRST TIME I READ YOUR POST?! They are adorable, for srs. The only thing I would like better is Sam Ronson/Mark Ronson, because hello Vee's bulletproof incest!kink, it seems you even cross over into het these days. But still, Sam and Lindsay are the cutest thing ever right now :D

If I can get hold of another tea shirt I will send it to you!! It is an awesome shirt - pictures of three big mugs of tea and it says 'Give tea a chance!' XD Appropriate, for me, hehe!

i love english breakfast, peppermint, green tea and this new concotion i tried at the tea centre in the glasshouse arcade off pitt street arcade. it was called 'sweetdreams' and it had camomile, lavender, and a whole bunch of other flavours and things in it and ahhh im addicted to it now. they have so much tea there, you should try it if you can. plus its quiet and perfect for reading on rainy days.

Unforch I am really not a fan of camomile tea, probably because I am a heathen who likes her tea strong with lots of sugar, so any of the delicate herbal tea flavours would be destroyed in the process. Thanks for the recommendation though! When I drag my lazy arse out of my house I'll be sure to check it out.

It's raining outside hurrah time for more tea?
Also I want to write for the Cardboard Collective, but don't know what to do. Any suggestions?

Orange Pekoe was recommended to me as a tea with less caffeine in it, not sure if that's true - it's been a while since I've had it - but tasty nonetheless. It doesn't have as much of an orangey or citrusy taste as you'd expect from the name, because it's still a black tea, but in my head I would associate it with more of an English Breakfast sort of taste as opposed to Irish Breakfast. I don't know, I am pretty bad at describing tea D: I do know that Lady Grey is a citrus tea and that you don't drink it with milk because it's so light. I can't drink too much of it because it makes me go insane like the others don't, once again proof that I am not the person to recommend tea flavours oh dear. Sorry.

I can't stand earl grey, because it honestly tastes like piss.
but. tea! we're limited mostly to chinese tea here, like oolong, but they're wonderful so I really can't complain.

I KNOW RIGHT.

Asian tea is wonderful, it really is. The reason why I don't mention it in this here post so much is because I have a different relationship with those kinds of teas? Oh, culture.

(Um, if I sent you a package of different types of teas, would Satan flip out? Would it be safer if I sent it to a friend so you could collect if from them? Just. I really want to send you some :D)

also, Red chai from t2..

so you drink your tea black? I do. always. but red chair with about half a teaspoon of condensed milk is all sorts of awesome.

It depends really - Russian Caravan, the Breakfasts and the teas you'd normally drink with milk I would tend to have as such, but they're also amazingly good black. My only requirement is that I have an obscene amount of sugar in them, really. Because I want early onset diabetes, yes.

T2 is horribly overrated, but I love it so. Particularly the Apple Tisane, which is a wonderful example of "overpriced hot water and sugar", but. The TEAPOTS. Oh my.

sugar?! oh cass, you ruin it!

yes T2 is disgustingly overrated but oh, the macq on with the dim lighting and boys with piercings and scones... the teapots suck at keeping in the warmth but you get a teapot as your table number! so cool.
