In theory, tumblrs are a place for you to post random links, photos and quotes that you find while browsing through the internet; it's not the space for in-depth analysis or text-heavy posts like normal blogs. Nowadays I find it's harder to compost longer entries, and feel stupid making one-line posts on lj.

...that's not a very good answer to your question. But it's a good source of distraction, and some really awesome things can occasionally surface!
