I have this really sick feeling in my stomach...I don't understand how this could happen...Hoping against hope that the networks are wrong...I am not joking when i say i think I need to start looking for a grad. school in a different country....not sure if I can live here under the bush regime....so I guess I'll just wait and see...in the mean time ( Read more... )

the crappy part of all this is that it's not just bush that we have to worry about living under now. they've proven twice now that you can pander to one extreme side and win the election. it's going to set a precedence for the way campaigns are run; openly non-secular, openly bigoted, jesus this, the almighty that, be afraid and only I can save you. look at mel martinez, look at south dakota, kentucky.

you might want to start practicing a canadian accent if you, dana and sara are still planning on europe, they're gonna be none too happy.

talked to jed this morning and he said that they're were going to be alot of people that feel like this isn't the country they thought it was. I can't say that I disagree with him, can't say I'm not one of them

We had seriously already discussed getting canadian patches to wear on our backpacks....as far as moving to another country I'm serious and I'm not. I don't know, it's just so discouraging knowing all I know, and watching our country elect that horses ass again. Hindsight is 20/20? Well apparently not in America. Apparently the last four years of blunders, and ego driven mistakes have not shocked and scared Americans enough. I seriously fear what we will see when we look back four years from now.

i definitely feel like i was wrong in my perceptions of this country. i feel like the liberals have been alienated by the religious-based-voting right-wingers. america is hurt right now, but hopefully in another four years (if we're all still here) the democrats will be stronger and put forth a better candidate.

listening to NPR this morning and hearing peoples reasoning for voting for bush; alot of them awere saying that kerry didn't voice his opinion clearly and didn't take a firm stand on anything. i'm don't entirely agree with that but those were the same arguments against gore in 2000. you'd think 4 years of this and fact that they alienated so many voters last time, they'd do something different to get back the vote but it was just more of the same. or maybe it's that the voters aren't there, maybe the majority of the country has the same beliefs as these assholes, but i find that hard to swallow

I think I live in America... the greatest country on Earth! And my first amendment rights says that I'm allowed to be an asshole whenever I want to! Thank you, George W. Bush... if you hadn't been re-elected... Pussies who voted for Kerry would have wanted to take my rights away! Weeee!
