I'm trying to think of some way of expressing my appreciation of this story without sounding like a middle aged, pervy guy.... Some or all of which my be true anyway.

How about it was very well written - you really evoked the spirit of the time, place and characters?

I'm pretty sure I achieved pervy old man status years and years ago, so at the very least you're in good company. But thank you, m'dear! It's always nice to know people are reading it. :D

Ooohhh...this is beautiful!

Hot too, of course, but my overall impression is one of beauty, friendship, loss and hope.

I love that it's told from Chiana's perspective (I'm easy that way ;) and that you were able to convey a sweetness without becoming saccharine. Chiana's sense of empowerment and Aeryn wanting to continue even without the lakka were especially nice.

Aeryn tiptoed around her own voice. - perfect, perfect line.

Fantastic story, thank you for sharing.
