I found this video of our rally last Saturday online. I'm bawling so uncontrollably right now....that night was filled with so much joy and hope and elation. We had no idea what the heartbreak we would suffer just 3 days later. This thing packed 12 city blocks, both sides of the street. It's breaking my fucking heart.

This just reported on one of my mailing lists from a member in Santa Barbara:
"The gay people in Calif are protesting in the Los Angeles/West Hollywood area. Last night in W Hollywood several people were arrested. So far today it is just large crowds closing big street disrupting traffic. There are 3 lawsuits going by the ACLU. Last night I told J. that we need to riot like the drag queens did in the 60's. It may come to that here."

We have a march planned to City Hall here on Friday, though I don't know what that means so much, b/c the Mayor supported us and so did the City Council.
And then another candlelight like the video I posted is going on Saturday.

Ivee is attending rallies. I'm considering copying any and all correspondence from her lawyer friend Scott to my livejournal regularly as he's doing all he can along with his legal team I think in the L.A. Area.
It's a great video of hope. and it's those kinds of rallies that are really needed now. The swell of jubilation for a democratic government should also mean movement from people who so long have felt shackled or worse, did nothing.
Hang in there crack. you too, Jes
