Thank you to everybody who replied about my Harry Potter moon question. Ironically, the original moon I drew ended up being exactly right! It will be a long time yet until I post *finished* pictures, because I started my quilt just after book 5, and have worked on it in bits and pieces. Seeing as book 7 comes out in a year, I might as well just wait for it and incorporate all the canon end material into it. Until then, in thanks, here are current pictures!!!
And because I'm scared of lawyers, all HP goodness belongs to J.K. Rowling, Mary GrandPre, PotterPuffs, Warner Brothers, A licensed balloon of Hedwig, um...Joanne Fabrics, in other words, NOT ME.
This is the full quilt, it's just shy of being full size.
These are the quidditch hoops, which I swear you can see better in real life!!
This is Dobby and the Gryffindor "G." Each corner has it's house letter stitched in.
Hedwig, that saucy bird.
Fawkes, stitched in the style of
Naomi's Potter Puffs.
This is my cross stitch, there is no pattern, so please don't ask. I did it free hand.
A close up of the Harry panel. His scar, eyes, and glasses are outlined. His hand says "I must not tell lies"
This is the preliminary sketch of the dark mark, and source of the moon question.
I hope you all enjoy!
