Here's a cool image from my early a-life. It represents the time evolution of two ant 'hives'. as time goes => red goes to yellow, blue goes to cyan. Ants of the different 'colonies' are hostile...and chase eachother. The 'ants' can move in 3 directions. The double helixes represent two ants chasing eachother...

Here is a model made years later in Maya 6. I modeled pyramidal cells from the cerebellum(? i think). The denrites of the neuron were made with a modeling tool I made which involved an 'ant' that extruded a little tube as it randomly 'browsed' 3d space. So what was once time evolution of a bunch of ants is now a pyramidal cell...

Another view down the axons...I wanted a lot of 'focal blur' to simulate microscopy (a word I had to write because I hate it...its impossible to say..)..microscopic photos typically have very narrow depth-of-field because of the magnification method..

Morgan Hall? University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa. Beautiful school....I adored my students, except for when the rather incestuous community of the English Dept. would go to the three places there that were amazingly good and my students be there imbibed. I always worried they'd embarrass themselves. Running over to hug me or slobber on me or something similar yelling "That's my professor!!!! Oh my GOD!!!!" Ugh ( ... )

Your enigmaticity is too much for me! ( You like that? -enigmaticity- I just made it up..might be right, but may be a malformed word.) But serious now ...you don't strike me as rebel-flagger. But then again I also note that you use forms of internet humor without the convention of j/k'ing...which I avoid at all costs!!! (j/k :) ...hehe LOL!..I do!...actually no I don't :| ) But I find it a tricky dealy to do with just typing--joke that is ...in flat tones. In regular speech I've got it all down...but typing/writing...fuck..I never can tell....rofl

my department said no university would ever accept me again - this was a heinous crime!
The crime was the utterance ala no university would ever accept you again. You do the right thing for you, yet it is a crime. Brilliant. ;-) Gheez.

I'm a perfectionist! :-) and a procrastinator at times too. Bad combo! Bad combo - no! Because whilst seeking perfection, the subliminal mind is at work whilst "procrastinating." Story: math killed me whilst I was at uni...I was certain I wouldn't pass the course. During a test, I just randomly selected answers to make it look as I was doing something, but secretly I was looking about the classroom to see if I could spy a person I thought would be a good "math mentor" and watched a guy who was so fast, it took him nary a second to (I found out later, correctly) answer the test questions. I watched him leave, and handed in my test. The next day I was in class, I asked him if he'd like a study partner, and I was terrible. He was amazing, I passed with an ok grade. My point is this: I would study and ( ... )
