Sir Ian McKellen already signed up to do a movie about Magneto, and there's a Wolverine picture. They're both coming out in 2007.

The director of X3 just said that *he* wouldn't do anymore X men movies, and everyone's taking it as there will be no more Xmen movies.

yeah I posted a link a few weeks ago about Sir Ian McKellen signing up to do Magneto films. I probably will end up seeing them just because I think Magneto will have an interesting back story (and bonus, its Sir Ian McKellen.)

I never said Magneto or Wolverine..all I did was post the quote. I am very well aware they are making these movies. They have a Wolverine script that is on it's third and finale editing. But people keep saying they are making a foruth X-Men because of the ending and the studios have denied it through and through.

I just wanted to be a dick and say it again with a quote and see if anyone was still going to say that because of ending.

I'll state it again, I don't think they should make another film because this was a good way to leave this series. If they want to go off the ending credits they could do just a series with that character (trying not to give specifics in case anyone hasn't seen it) but I don't know about continuing that universe of films.

Yes,I saw the movie three times....

The guy who's in charge of all three movies said X-Men three was the finale addition of the series of movies ( as in genre not every single version of chjaacter movies..if I need to be specific). He said some time...(a considerable) time later they may start the X-Men movies up again. He even said that those who appear dead may not be.."because you can always imagine the power of the pheonix in reverse." -.-; He said for now they rather focus on individual movies like wolverine and MAgnetto who are certainly getting movies. So if they finish the wolverine story and start the Magnetto script...you got 2-3 years production. That means before they can even think of a new movie, you got about 6 years from now at least.

In the new wolverine script, it was fialed to be told if it takes place before the X-Men movies or during. He merely just said that "it is a story about wolverine..it is neither a prequel or sequel." Since it is a story of origin however, I doubt it will have the X-Men in it.

I would divulge more on the ending of the credits but I don't want to ruin it for those who have missed it... have some points there however...
