First, the socks that were on the needles before the Olympics began. The stitch is kind of tricky - I dislike ribbing; all the back & forth of the yarn is slow. But this is so worthwhile.
And now, on to the Olympics. The team photographer took this photo of the progress.
I got a little excited watching Jeff Buttle's skate, and anxious watching the last two skaters, fearing that they'd knock him out of the Bronze medal position. (And can I say - grrr! stupid Joubert snarking about his lack of quad - your's wasn't all that great either, was it?)
Finally, my progress halfway through yesterday's knitting. The difficult parts are got over (to paraphrase Jane Austen), and now it's the straightaway, also known as boredom alley.
I'm pretty much over the ankle now, not far from calf increases. I'm in pretty good shape, I think.
