A Question About Cover Art

Is it just me or is the picture on the right simply an inset from the picture on the left, flipped and rotated?

I know Caliglia uses his wife and child as models...I'd suspect he did a similar painting rather than flipped and inverted one for a cover that was something like a year earlier than the Doug Clegg cover on the left.

I tend to want to give people the benefit of the doubt, as well, especially when it's someone I respect, but the pictures are just too similar. You can even see the V-neck of the woman's dress (even though it's been colored in, you can still see the outline) above the chest of the boy on the Devil's Wine cover.
