Single 30-something looking... to take up photography.

So I took lots of photos over the past few days, and I'm not so happy with a lot of the photos I took. I don't have my own camera, I only use my mom's digicam, so I can't really complain, but I wish I had something more responsive, something that would really let me "capture the moment", so to

I would suggest getting a "PROSUMER" cameras. This is the hybrid between the SLRs and the Point-and-Click cameras. They don't really use that red thing. Or, you can easily cover up the red light thing with a bit of cardboard and clear tape.

Prosumer cameras are easier to work with and don't require all the technical skills of a SLR. They're a lot cheaper, too.
