Sunshine

I'm always behind on everything, so it wouldn't surprise me if I was here too. However I had never even heard of this movie until my friend recommended it, and I just watched Sunshine today and it was...just, awesome. From a sci-fi standpoint it was immensely entertaining, but beyond that it has crazy good cinematography and an amazing soundtrack.

oh Ben i'm so glad you liked it! I LOVE Sunshine. Darryl and I watched it about two years ago when it came out. It's such an amazing sci-fi movie. Alot of people hate on it because of the thrown in horror element at the end. But it's such a gorgeous film, the soundtrack is amazing.

I just recommended Sunshine to my co-workers. Solar science aside, it was definitely the most engaging profile of long-term space travel -- the psychological consequences, the necessary infrastructure, etc. -- I've yet seen on the big screen. Save the survival horror bit.

watched that a few weekends ago at Kevin's on bluray... the visuals were amazing to say the least. The story kind of derails, IMO, about halfway though.

It came out around the same time as Stardust, and I got the names confused when I picked what movie to see at the theatre. I still haven't gotten around to seeing it. :(
