Final grades

May 13, 2010 11:56

Got back my final grades, possibly ever:

Painting I: A-
Knowledge Reloaded: A
Pursuit of Knowledge: A
Differential Equations: A
Quantum Mechanics: A
Statistical Thermodynamics: A

Pretty sure that's the first time I have ever gotten straight As (assuming that A- counts). And it was in my last semester of college. I'm pretty happy :)

school, grades

The only reason I posted this at all is because it's never happened before...and it was my last chance for it to happen :P

Those were similar to my final college grades after years of C's and D's.

Barely made it short of the Dean's list. :/

Great job!

That's very nice! Congrats on your Bachelor BTW. Aren't you going to pursue a Master's degree or isn't that worth all the money in the US? ( I don't know how much added value it has in the US and it might be wise not to get it considering uni is $X0.000 per year in the US)

I always wondered, what is an A? is that 100% correct on tests? Because if so, people here in Europe barely get a 10 (out of 10) in university exams. :o

It depends what field, but some jobs like teaching, doctors, etc require a Masters and/or a Doctrate.

A Master's Degree would significantly increase my starting salary, and it would definitely be worth it. The problem is, I don't know if I'd be cut out for grad school...I got a lot of breaks in college, grad school would probably eat me alive.

A's (at least in my college) mean 94% or higher (I believe). From 90-94% is an A-, and so on.
