Sketchbook drawings

Aug 17, 2010 22:18

I remember a post awhile back that chico_chan made, where she said she would periodically upload sketches and drawings...yeah, that was a cool idea, but she doesn't really do it anymore :( But I've been drawing a bit lately (work gets booooring) and I figured I'd share as well. Critiques are gladly accepted!

I should note that while I think I am decent when it comes to drawing realism (I've come a long way), I basically can only draw things that I see. In other words, none of these drawings are from my imagination - all are copied from either photographs or real life. Sooo...yeah, I still have work to do.

I've been in a skateboarding phase, as seen by this drawing as well as the next sketch:

I'm not very satisfied with this one. Her head looks a little funny, and without a background the skateboard looks kinda dull. Also, Enjoi is a skateboard company, for anyone who didn't know.

Finally (for now):

The "concept" for this one was basically blatantly stolen from a graffiti-style painting an acquaintance did back in high school. Lately though I've been reading a lot about communist governments so this is what came to mind.
