This thread [Which pairs are used on a 100Mbps line? TIA-568B] at DSLReports (aka Broadband Reports) is made of uber-mega-super fail. Here, lazy and stupid have combined to create something that had only been theorized.

Actually, that was solved several years back by a guy who soldered a lamp cord to a patch cable. (he did it on purpose 'tho)
