To: Everyone who has created a Johari/Nohari window

YOU DON'T WANT TO KNOW WHAT I THINK OF YOU.

Love, me

Who wrote tonight's episode of Gilmore Girls? Was it Daniel Palladino?

...It was. I knew it; I could tell the minute that band showed up. God, I hate Daniel Palladino.

I stopped watching Dawson's Creek after season two, and I'm ( Read more... )

Seriously! The Nohari one especially. Do you want me to pick five negative words that describe you? Do you really? I don't know why people a) care that much what others think of them, and b) want to torture themselves by asking to hear negative things. Johari I get because people are basically just fishing for compliments, but still, lame.

I refuse to the Nohari one. When I need to insult someone, I'll just do it to their face.

I'll cop to the Johari craze. I figure I'll do one meme a year (2006: check) and it seemed a lot better than "describe me in one word (and then I'll grill you as to why you picked it)".

Hee. I'm not trying to point the finger at any one person or anything -- my friends list is normally pretty meme-free, so I don't mind when someone does one every once in a while. It's just the sheer volume of Johari/Nohari posts -- it seems 80% of my friends list decided to do one or both last week. You crashed the site, people! Enough is enough. ;)

And Nohari is much worse than Johari. I refuse to believe (most) people actually want to hear negative things, and I won't fill any out because I know people would get all worried that I secretly hate them or something. I don't secretly hate anyone. If I hate you, you'll know!

The Blair Witch "homage" was silly, and the D/J stuff made me roll my eyes in complete and utter exasperation, but Pacey and Jen were cute enough to make up for it. And soon we get into the Pacey/Joey stuff! I can't wait.

This morning's was even better! Well, all the Jen stuff, anyway (especially the Pacey/Jen scenes). All the Thanksgiving stuff was a little sappy for my tastes. And I can't stand Andie anymore! I liked her quite a bit until she went nuts and started hallucinating Tim in second season, and now that she's a whiny conniving bitch, I don't like her at all.

Scout is about the cutest snowdog I've ever seen. Thanks for posting a picture of him.

No problem! And at least our backyard is hidden from the road, so my neighbors can't see this big furry snow-covered lump and think my poor dog is freezing to death or something!

Tweak hates the snow so much. I think part of it is he's so darn skinny and short haired that even with his little dog sweater (yes, he needs a sweater or he'd really freeze, he's embarrassed, thanks) he's shaking after 2 or 3 minutes outside. Our next dog is going to be a real dog that bounds through the snow and chases snowballs and trys to find them by rooting around under the snow etc. :)

Hee, I am so over the Johari thing, too. NOT DOING ANYMORE, OKAY, PEOPLE?

It's okay; I think most of us liked Dawson and Joey in S1. His true asstastic nature did not fully reveal itself until S2-3.

I can't believe some of the things he does! Lecturing Joey's dad like he has all this life experience (when he really doesn't even know for sure that Joey's dad is selling drugs again), basically blackmailing Jen's mom into telling Jen about Eve... he's just always sticking his nose where it doesn't belong. And rejecting Joey! He deserves to be miserable (and at least the writers realize this, hee).

Yeah, I hadn't checked my friends list for like two days and when I got around to it, I saw one post with that Johari thing and I did it for them because I thought it was just some thing they found or something. But then I discovered that every other entry on my friends page was the same exact fucking thing and I just kind of felt sick to my stomach. I hate annoying things that catch on.

I love my friends list; everyone on it is well-spoken, no one goes overboard on memes, and everybody's entries are fun to read -- but this past week or so, every second entry has been Johari or Nohari! I don't get it, either; why do people want to be pigenholed? Why do they want to act like a sheep and do the same meme everyone else on the Internet is doing? I hate memes so much.

Um, I really can spell pigeonholed. ;) I hate it when I notice a typo as a comment is sending!
