Today was my cat, Patch's, 18th birthday.

"We should have a party for her," I joked. "You know, if that wasn't totally lame."

"We should have a party for her!" Mom exclaimed, and proceeded to call my cousin and invite her, her three kids, and my aunt and uncle over for a birthday dinner before I'd really even realized what was happening ( Read more... )

I love how absolutely miserable poor Patch looks in every picture. Also, the picture of poor Scout is cracking me up. He's not feeling the celebration, Amy. Not even a little.

I know! He might have liked it more if we could have brought him inside, but there were 13 people, one puppy, and three cats in there already, and adding the big dog would have been too much! Also, Patch hates babies, balloons, and puppies, so I'm not sure she enjoyed her birthday overly much. Everyone else had fun, though! ;)

I haven't yet watched any of the TV I recorded while on vacation last week, and therefore haven't read any fandom reactions... otherwise you can be sure I would have thrown a bit of that in there!

Yeah, I love the white tip! He has a white patch on his chest, too.

Patch does look pretty good! She's a bit slower and generally more tired than she used to be, but she's still the alpha cat (the others wait for her to finish eating before they will eat, and she can totally beat them both up).

I scoff at Facebook! Everybody else in the world may have one, but I refuse!

...I have this thing about interacting with "real-life" people on the Internet. I don't like it. (Real-life LJ friends excepted!)

You may scoff now, but everyone ends up on the Facebook bandwagon eventually! If you wanted you could just add us "fictional" people ;)

PS: do you watch Lost? because I just powered through the entire first season (I was unemployed, okay??) and I thought it was great!

I never got a MySpace! ;)

I liked season one of Lost, but it went downhill after that... although lately it's been on an upswing again, and now it has a solid ending date, which I think is a cool idea.

Next season: Pushing Daisies, Bryan's new show (Tuesdays, I think, on ABC). It is going to be awesome.
