update re: copyright issues

copyright issues were with regard to icons by the artist Donna Grethen. if you took any icons from that set, you should delete them. using them, even with credit, is unacceptable to the artist.

i have removed the set.

I'm so sorry to hear that. She does wonderful work.

yes, as was i! her work is very pretty! but she filed a claim against someone who used one of the icons i made, so i thought it was just best to remove them all.

Oh dear. Well, at least we can admire her work on the 'net!

well hello! and yes, it was a bummer about that set of icons. like so many icon makers who were using artists for icons, it got to be very troubling trying to determine what was okay and what wasn't. someone who used one of her icons contacted me saying their LJ had been SUSPENDED due copyright infringement. it was reinstated after she removed the icon in question, but it really freaked me out.
