oh, nice thanks. I been looking for some advice on new dramas to pick up. Particulary looking for more K-drama since need to practice my (almost non-existant) Korean ^^;
You're welcome! What all have you seen? I just recently started watching kdramas because I was just so immersed in the jdrama scene (thanks to JE boys). I was worried because I heard some not to great things about how women were treated in kdramas, but I've had pretty good luck. I strongly suggest Coffee Prince and Legend. They are both absolutely wonderful.
I havn't had much time to watch much but i have seen Coffee Prince. I agree that was worth watching. I have also watched 100% of everything which started really well... but yeah women seem to be treated a bit strangely. ^^;
Oh wow! Soooo organized. I might write one of these of my own....but then again, I've seen a lot too so I wonder how long it'd take me to write such a thing. :| In any case, very nice synopses!
Yeah, for Bad Family being up there near the top!! XD Love it so much!
Man, it was difficult for me to rank things because there were parts that I loved of some series, but overall they weren't that impressive. And quite a few I only remembered through the filter of memory so I wasn't sure how trustworthy I was being.
You should totally right one! I know you've seen a lot I haven't so I'd love to see your list.
This is so impressive, both in terms of how much you've watched and how organized it is! I will definitely add to/annotate my giant list of to watch doom with a bunch of these. Most of the five and four star are already on there (or I've already seen them) but I bet some of these love comments will move them up the list a little. <3
(Let's see, of these I have only seen Coffee Prince, Nodame, Hana Kimi, and Boys over Flowers, plus a couple first episodes here and there. SIGH, so much drama to watch! YAY, so much drama to watch!)
Yay, Smile, You! I haven't watched a parents' gen scene in I don't know how many episodes (at least 20) and I am completely okay with that. They drag down my happy Hyun Soo/Jung In place. I was all about Hyun Soo's mom, she was pretty cool, right? Until she flipped out and then some, wth.
I love your organization here. I have a feeling this is a post I'll be visiting often.
I'm not a fast-forwarder by nature, but the parents REALLY test me whenever they are on screen.
Hyun Soo's mom was the only good thing about them and now all of her bad qualities have been magnified. She's really quite intolerant and it's very disappointing (and sad for Hyun Soo and Jung In).
The one that stood out to me was Hello My Teacher. I felt the same exact way you did. I actually had to stop around episode 8 because I despised the female character SO MUCH. That was the first drama I never finished.
OH MAN I wish I had stopped because these days I have such a bad attitude about that show. There were things that I did like about it (in the beginning) but it's all overshadowed by how much it made me rage in the end.
ALTHOUGH, this is the drama that made me realize it was OK to drop dramas. I used to be of the mind that if I start it I need to finish it. Now, I feel no such pressure. I'll abandon a drama before I start to despise it's very existence.

If you are looking for more humor you should definitely check out My Boss My Hero and Bad Family. They are both fantastic.
