Catching Up

So, I haven't done much posting or commenting because I haven't been doing that much fandoming (possible word? WHO CARES). Work and various other RL things have taken precedence. Heck, I still haven't finished What's Up and that was like the one thing I was watching.

I gave the first two episodes of Wild Romance a shot but it didn't do ( Read more... )

book: penryn & the end of days, kdrama: wild romance, kdrama: what's up, book: earth's children, kdrama: history of a salaryman

Finish What's Up! (SO GOOD).

I'm watching Wild Romance but admittedly, it didn't grab me for quite sometime (ep 5? Maybe 6?) But I had the same issue with that writer on her other dramas and I ended up enjoying both of those (Alone in Love, Evasive Inquiry Agency). So *shrug*. Lee Shi-young's character resonates with me though I was never a tomboy. Plus Lee Dong-wook is oh so pretty to look at, haha.

Fandoming is a word, in my opinion. What else would you call what we do?

I've always meant to check out Evasive Inquiry Agency! It takes a while to get going though?

It's been awhile since I watched it but I remember it taking a couple episodes for the real plot to start. It's super quirky and funny though so I enjoyed it. I suppose it just didn't emotionally engage me for a while though on one level I was enjoying myself? Does that make any sort of sense? Haha. (If anything, Lee Min-ki is GREAT.)

I would strongly recommend Shut Up Flower Boy Band. If you decide to watch absolutely nothing else this season watch that because it is SO GOOD. The guys are gorgeous too. So you cant good plot and characters plus good music plus moody atmosphere + hotties. you really cant lose. I love history of a salaryman, and i would also recommend you stick with it if you can. both Flower boy band and History of a salary man are really refreshing dramas. Of all the pretty young people angst dramas with music as a backdrop (mary stayed out all night, heartstrings, you're beautiful?) this one is easily the best. and what i wanted from the genre all along. and Salary man isnt like any drama I've ever seen, its such a mesh of genres and does so seamlessly. But if I could only rec you one I'd rec Flower boy band. Its getting me right in the heart. I am super obsessed with it and I havent been that obsessed about a drama in a long ass time.

Thanks for the drama update! I went through a long while of slow drama watching but since I'm speeding up again now, it's nice to get a lay of the land. :) Wild Romance is one of those shows I really want to like but from the first episode, I'm not sure if it's going to click with me. I'm giving it a little more time but then again, I didn't watch Flower Boy Ramyun Shop even with all the hype. ;)
