They could have NOT gotten the bonds back, if he never found them. If I was Neil, I would have given him at least $1000... enough to possibly get one's life back together.
Well I can tell you, the homeless man couldn't have done anything with the bonds. You have to show identification to prove you are the payee on the bond and then there's taxes so they have to print out papers, etc. So, to most people, those bonds are just paper. If it were cash or something else, would he have been such a good samaratin? Who knows. Maybe I'm just cynical. Maybe 100 dollars wasn't enough... I dunno. What would you give if you really needed the money for yourself? Is there a required 10% tip minimum on rewards now? I'm just thinking out loud, not attacking you or anything.
