Israel does not have lots of oil. It does not produce much. It is very small. It is fully of religious nuts. It constantly makes World War III seem possible. It unifies the Arab world against the US. You forgot about Christianity, the only commodity in the US bigger than oil. All those characters in the bible did things there so its important to all the god fearing backwards fuckwads in this country that Israel be a sovereign nation and that the temple of the mount is rebuilt so armageddon can start. I'm not even through watching it for the first time and I'm already giving it high recomendation.
The most realistic interpretation of "time travel" that I've ever seen.
