Idiots!
Just saw this in the LA Times. Since I fell asleep before McCain's speech, and have only vague memories of his droning voice, I didn't see this "Walter Reed" backdrop. Apparently, he was supposed to speak in front of an image of Walter Reed Medical Center. Instead, his handlers mistakenly put up this image of Walter Reed Middle School, in North

I stayed away from the convention last night, but I hope it WAS a gaffe! Kinda like the unintended chuckles the other night when Bush's piped-in speech with "applause pauses" didn't include the audio for the applause, just him sitting there looking smug and dorky as usual.
