{{{HUGS}}} Whatever my (major and severe) reservations about Obama, that is something I can celebrate about his victory wholeheartedly. All day long I listened as people shared with me their experience of feeling included, truly part of society rather than "other," for the first time in their lives.
Trust me, my most fervent prayer is that Obama's presidency will fulfill the promise his supporters have seen in it.
While I don't have the same reservations you have about Obama, neither was I caught up in "Obamamania".
At the end of the day, he's a man. Period. I don't agree with some of his beliefs, and I won't agree with some of his policies, but I can live with that. I don't expect rainbows to shine out of his ass.
But we can all agree that watching him on that stage was monumental.
