I know I used to have interesting things to say (or at least I thought I did) but they all seem to be gone now. I don't know what that's about

I realized recently that come January I'll have been writing fanfic (and sharing it) for 15 years. Wow. How the time has flown but here we are, still writing fanfic.
I was watching Alien vs. Predator, too! Then Jim came in and he didn't want to watch it and eat supper at the same time (a lot of people were getting sliced and diced at just that moment) so we changed the channel. *sigh* I'm gonna hafta look at Netflix or something and see if it's available. I want to finish it.
I used to read fanfic. Now I read some of ladyoneill's (y'know, when it's a fandom I follow) and on occasion I read a bit of burningeden's but that's about it. Of course, I now read dozens of indie novels a year.
*waves madly* I love fandom too. I've had an interesting education recently in how much fandom drives me as a writer by getting into new (old) fandoms and struggling to find even a few new fics and readers for my fics etc ... it's amazing how a thriving fandom can push everyone's creativity level higher. The good old days of Rogan or the Buffyverse when you could get 20 or 30 comments on a fic seem long gone for me.
I'm still writing Wolverine/Rogue, more recently have written quite a lot of Veronica/Weevil from Veronica Mars (which was cancelled in 07, and was never a popular ship, so ... ) and I've just (very reluctantly, somewhat shamefacedly!) gotten into Glee, which OMG, live fandom! Imagine that! I'm writing my very first fic for Glee right now, as coincidence would have it. (Puck/Rachel smut. Somewhere along the line I've made a point of making my entree into a new fandom with smut.)
I miss live fandom, but there's nothing on right now that I really feel that drive for. I keep hoping to find something because I miss feeling that way about a show. Speaking of old fandoms, I started reading a lot of Blood Ties fic, and I am so, so into it. It makes me sad that it's old and only got one season. I've even been writing fic, although nothing that I can pull together as a whole story.
