Title: Inquiry Desk
Pairing: Min Suk/Perry
Rating: PG
Summary: Perry has questions. :D
A/N:
Min Suk is YG's little brother.
"Min Suk, this is Perry."
Min Suk isn't sure what he was expecting from the genius gay American hip-hop producer his brother keeps babbling about, but... not this, anyway. Not a short, stocky, quiet-looking guy with tattooed arms, bleached blond hair and eyes that look too Asian to complement his weird nose.
"Nice to meet you," Perry says in clumsy Korean, looking up at him.
Min Suk is suddenly glad he took all those business English lessons. "Hi. How are you?"
Perry's eyes light up. "Dude, you speak Eng--"
"He's a really good rapper. And he's from Guam," Hyun Suk informs him cheerfully (for the sixteenth time).
"That's nice, Hyun Suk."
"I'm from Cali, actually," Perry says after a brief glance at his brother. "So, whaddya do around here?"
"And he's gay."
Min Suk just ignores Hyun Suk this time. "Pretty much everything."

"Yo, Min?"
Perry perches himself on his desk, a bottle of juice in his hand. Min Suk's brother is "Hyun", so he guesses it makes sense that he's "Min", now. "Yes?"
"What's that say?" Perry shoves the bottle under his nose, index finger placed under a line of hangul on the label, and looks at him expectantly. He's wearing his red and yellow contacts today. They make him even more unsettling than he usually manages to be.
"Um... No sugar added."
Perry squints at the hangul for a moment, then nods slowly. "Cool. Thanks." He slides off his desk and heads out of his office. Min Suk watches him leave before going back to work, shaking his head amusedly.

It hits Min Suk, after a while, that Perry finds reasons to drop by his office often enough that he's probably doing it out of loneliness rather than any pressing desire to learn Korean. He can understand how he feels - not that many people in the studios speak English, after all, and Jinusean have been pretty busy promoting lately.
Still, part of him thinks it's kinda weird to be spending that much time alone with a gay guy. So when Perry strolls into his office (he stopped knocking a long time ago) and asks him to have a drink with him after work, he can't help his instinctive reaction.
"Ohhh, I'm sorry but I'm not, you know. ... Gay."
Perry raises one thin eyebrow, then starts laughing louder than Min Suk's ever heard him laugh. He wants to crawl under his desk and possibly die.
"Shit, man, did you really think I was asking you out? I just thought it'd be cool to hang out."
"Oh. Um, yeah, okay. Sure," Min Suk replies automatically. Perry leaves, still snickering to himself, and after thinking about it for a moment, Min Suk can't decide if he still feels embarrassed or just vaguely wounded.

"Know what? I'm gonna start calling you Max," Perry announces from his usual perch on Min Suk's desk. Min Suk's learned to keep that corner of it clear of anything important.
"Max?" he repeats curiously, looking up from his computer.
Perry grins at him. Blue contacts today. "Uh huh. Min just reminds me of minimum. And that's kind of a shitty name, yeah?"
"... Why is Maximum a better name?"
He kicks his chair lightly. "'Cause I said so. Wanna go see Fight Club tonight?"
"Are you asking me out?" Min Suk retorts playfully. It's become a little joke between them - which is good, because he'd rather laugh about it than wince every time he remembers the way he reacted.
"You wish. I'mma come and get you once I'm done recording, 'kay?" He hops off the desk and leaves without waiting for Min Suk's reply - typical of him, but it's not like Min Suk was going to say no, anyway.

Perry bursts in and Min Suk's desk is covered with KFC paper bags in mere seconds. He manages to rescue some important papers before they get stained with grease, but gives up on the rest.
"'The fuck you still doing here at this hour? You must be hungry, man."
Min Suk sighs and sits back, rubbing his eyes. "I'm trying to balance YG's budget." The smell of fried chicken hits him and he leans forward again to peek into one of the bags, stomach rumbling.
Perry takes out a burger and hands it to him. "Sounds like we'd be pretty screwed without you."
He's even hungrier than he thought he was, and most of the burger is gone by the time he bothers to look up again. Perry is watching him with a little smile, munching on some fries. "... What?"
"Nothin'. Want some coleslaw?"

Perry stops in front of his desk and picks up his paperweight, fidgeting with it. "Hey. 'Sup?"
"Nothing much," Min Suk replies before turning back to his computer. Then, as an afterthought, "You okay?"
"Yeah, yeah. So uh, Hyun says you like Italian food and shit."
"Yeah, I like it."
"Right, so. There's this restaurant, like, ten minutes away."
"Oh. Sure, we can go after work," Min Suk starts working again, then realizes that Perry is a) not saying anything, and b) still standing in front of his desk. He looks up, frowning. "Wait, are you asking me out?" he asks, and it's not really funny this time.
Perry puts the paperweight down and gives him an awkward grin. "Yeah, I guess I am."
"Uh..." Min Suk looks at his screen again, not really seeing the words on it. He doesn't have the faintest idea how to go about dating a man. He didn't even think he wanted to. Until about twenty seconds ago. "... Yeah, okay." He tries to sound casual about it and continues to work, or at least pretends to.
Perry plops down on his desk a moment later. "Cool. Dude, what does hwajang mean?"
Min Suk smiles despite himself. Maybe dating won't be that hard to figure out.
