Soo good! Glad that you touched on the race issue we discussed at SOB.

The way you had Bella describe loss was pretty close to perfect, so thanks for that, because it's a tough thing to put in words and have it not sound lame or cliché.

Loved the development of Leah's character; letting his ashes go like that was brilliant.

One quick thing: The whole last half of the update is italicized.

I'm so late in replying to this, and for that I'm sorry. But finals just kinda ate my soul for a while, and now I'm finally into the eye of the storm and have a moment to breathe. Thanks for the heads-up about my faulty code - one little / and the world just goes to fuck, huh?

And I'm thrilled to hear that Leah's "coming out" here is being welcomed. She'll be popping up from time to time, so expect to see some more of her. Thanks fro reading, hon, and your liberal use of sparkle text, ets :)

This chapter is the shiz! I love how you bring such depth and personality to the characters and to the worlds they live in. That you threw in some race dynamics is awesome. That was something that got glanced over in the actual books and I think in your story it fits and you aren't doing it heavy-handed ( ... )

The shiz? Awesome, I'll take it! Actually, this entire review is made of absolute win because you pretty much pointed out all these subtle, little things I've been squeezing into the story, and reassured me that people are getting it. Bella's divergence from the woman she was in her dream and into an actual human being, Jake's slow progression with her, etc. SO THANK YOU for picking up all these details.

And I agree, I love Jake when he's the one who's got his shit in order. He's funny and pulled together and confident, and frankly that's exactly what Bella needs right now. Now if only she'd just figure that out...

Embry was adorable in this. My inner Embrella shipper was reading into him looking at Bella in the darkness. And oh, the UST with Jake and Bella dancing! So cute. And like Tubey said, I appreciate Leah so eloquently pointing out to Bella the race issue. White privilege means never having to realize you're white. The fact that Bella was so oblivious about it just points out that fact.

Have I told you lately that i love you?

Gah, I'm so late in responding to this so please mock me silently if possible. I just wanted to tell you that this Embrella trend is starting to get serious and I'm afraid it might be spreading. Soon you and Laura will appear over the hills leading an army of shippers, leaving destruction in your wake ;)

If you liked Jake's little dance number I think you're really going to like next chapter. He's been trying to be adorable all night, and he keeps getting thwarted. But the boy's going to get his say before the night's over - come hell, high water, or vomit!

White privilege means never having to realize you're white
Exactly, and when you're Bella Swan it also means expecting everyone to love you on contact. I think it was important to Bella to get a healthy does of reality, and Leah seemed more than willing to deliver the message.

And I love you too, bunches and bunches. JS...

OH HAI. Why are you so awesome? I'm glad to see you touched the racial issue we discussed this week at SOB.
Even though it was a pretty sad and dark chapter, I loved it as usual. Your Leah really got to me, and I feel so sorry for her not knowing yet about Sam and Emily.

And Claire...wow.
I wonder when will Jacob start to really believe Bella is not that crazy after all. Cause she isn't, right?

Loving it. Can't wait for the next update!
Vicky. ♥

Yeah, I'm kinda beating poor Leah up lately, which is sad cause I honestly love her to pieces. But her life kinda sucks during New Moon, and Meyer just kinda glosses over it. At least this way Leah get's to speak her peace ;) And something tells me that her knowledge of Sam and Emily's, ah, interactions will probably come to light at the worst possible moment. Just a hunch...

C'mon, you really didn't think it was going to be that easy, did you? ;)

See you next update, darling!
