Handwritten Postcard Fic from saucydiva!

Dec 13, 2012 18:44

The ever-delightful saucydiva sent me this adorable and super pandering fic, handwritten on a postcard while on her trip to Europe.  After travelling around the world it was delivered to the slot in my garage that always looks like a mail slot to the weekend mail carrier.  It aged there in the garage for a few weeks until I was having a particularly crappy day, and then I discoved it!

My transcription in case you can't read from my terrible photo:

Ben smiled as he put the chocolate shavings on top of the pie. His father had once mentioned taking Ben's mother out for french silk pie after they got engaged. Then he said some terrible things about her, but no matter; Ben wanted to uphold tradition, and thus had made her a pie as a surprise.

He went out to grab the papers off the step, and then he'd call her down for eggs & toast. After he found all the newspapers (The New York Times was in the neighbor's bushes AGAIN), he was greeted at the door with a kiss. "You are beautiful," he muttered. "And you taste like... whipped cream. But more than most mornings."

Leslie tried to grab the newspapers innocently, but she dropped them in a shower of post-election coverage. Ben ran to the counter where an empty pie tin sat.

"Sorry, Ben," she said, not looking sorry.

"It was an engagement pie," Ben said.

"You can propose again and then make more pie," Leslie said.

Ben kissed the whipped cream off her ear (?) and grinned. Maybe they'd start a new 2 pie tradition.
