hehe... that probably warrents an explination. I've always been horribly afraid of spiders. Sophia has always claimed that Spiders are my 'spirit guide' (she, being into that kind of thing). Her argument stems from the fact that even though I'm scared shitless of spiders, I can't kill them. (not true, I can kill them, but I usually leave well enough alone). Anyway, every time she hears about me dealing with spiders, particularly the nasty ones, she makes sure that I didn't kill it.

So yeah... it was outside, minding it's own business. It wasn't inside my porch, so I really couldn't kill it, it hadn't done anything to me. Of course, now I'm scared to go sit on my porch... but whatcha gonna do?

I make exception for ones that could actually kill you. :)

bah... black widows aren't really fatal to adults... their bites just hurt like hell. Most hospitals now give adults a couple asprin and tell them to sleep it off. I was more concerned for my kitten than anything else. But like I said, it can't get inside and isn't hurting anything out there, and it might just take out a few mosquitos for me while it's out there.

...

It was, in fact, a black widdow... there was no mistaking it. But weren't you the one who was always telling me NOT to kill spiders? Aren't you the one who fought with everyone in your camp to save the little black widowspawn at a gathering, back in the day? When the hell did you start advocating the death of the creepy little fuckers?

I couldn't in good conscience kill it... it wasn't harming me, it wasn't even in my porch, it was nested happily under my windowsil. I never open my windows and my cat isn't allowed outside, so the likelyhood that it will cause a problem is slim to none. I couldn't find a good reason to kill it, even if I had wanted too.

Now... if I ever find one inside the hosue... I'm taking off, nuking it from orbit... it's the only way to be sure ;)

Oh no! I have never been on the "save the black widow!" side- actually got quite annoyed with folks who are. I'm just right unsympathetic to deadly things :)

Otherwise yes I'm anti spider killing for you. :)
