Well that was different!
Hi all,
I'm back in New Orleans, having traveled for the past 3 weeks prior to ...Christmas. And, I'm sure it's no surprise, but this Christmas just didn't even come close to feeling like Christmas.
Frankly, I'm just glad it's over...sort of. It will be a Christmas to remember - one like no other - but not very memorable. Not much cheer going on here. One more week for New Year's and then all of the 'festivities' will be over. I can't wait.
Meanwhile, my sister's FEMA trailer has arrived. We're just waiting for the hook-ups and the final inspection then I will be 'sub-leasing' the FEMA trailer from her. Finally a place to stay with a refrigerator and a toilet. And a bed. It's only taken 4 months. I'm still waiting for FEMA to deliver and hook-up my trailer. It's been in the works supposedly since October.
On top of limited internet access, I've been avoiding LJ a bit due to all the references to OC episodes. Since I'm so far behind on the watching I was trying to stay unspoiled, but I've given up. Much thanks to muchtvs and finlee for burning and shipping DVDs in an attempt to keep me in touch.
I miss seeing everyone's posts and the chatter. So, I'm going to start reading again (obviously I've missed a ton of posts and can't begin to think about trying to catch up). If anyone has fics out there that they would like to link my way, it would be greatly appreciated.
