I had no idea that there were so many good Doctor Who communities over here! There's like one shitty one over on GJ. Ugh, I can't get over my hatred of this site, though. Christopher Eccleston is an absolute darling, though. His grins are lovely.

p.s; I heard of them through a completely emo American... I never found emo to be un-genuine, which isn't a word, I know. Conor Oberst? I don't care what he looks like, it's freakin' hot.

Lol, Bright eyes is deffinetly emo i was listening to it with Nicky on Sat, it's totally emo. Besides saying Bright eyes isn't emo is like saying that SoCo isn't amazing lol.

I don't care! emo is just a genre, which no one can actually agree on a definition of, but my personal definition of emo are bands like funeral for a friend, who are quite heavy(not bright eyes) and lyrics are overly emotional and silly(eg. that fucking annoying 'im not okaaaaaaaay' song by chemical romance).

I think bright eyes is pretty original and inventive in my eyes too, whereas so many emo bands sound exactly the same, another reason for my dislike of the word and any association with it.

Whats SoCo?

Mr. new doctor who does have a lovely grin! quite a charming man..

I don't particularly care either, I just knew that you'd said that you didn't like emo, and that most people would have classed them as emo, which in my view is just emotional rock. Like whoever you want, it's all personal taste. I personally don't care what a band is labelled as - I just like music, a lot of which happens to be classed as emo, and another batch of which happens to be classed as indie. Originality is an illusion, anyway. It's all been done somewhere.

I think that's more people's fault that the music's fault to be honest.

Soco is something corporate.

i agree, i can't do with the whole emo is rotten thing, cos what is emo anyway? calum calls my shoes emo! Shows its just been coined as an 'insulting' word when infact i use it as just shortened-emotional rock.
