poison
ft. one-sided Minsu; Yoosu
It was taking away his strength, inflicting burns upon him like acid, and searing his heart like a cold fire.
Changmin felt lightheaded.
He had never expected himself to feel this way - why? - but his chest pained him even though his mind was as calm as an oasis.
Being the youngest of the group, he had long developed a habit of conveniently ignoring his hyungs’ behaviour at home. Perhaps that was why he had grown to love food so much. Thankfully, God had been merciful and spared him the torture of expanding horizontally.
But nothing could make him disregard the scene before his eyes; nothing could have left him feeling the ache he was feeling now. Not even during talk shows when his hyungs unintentionally left him out in the midst of their hearty conversation; not even when he received news that his beloved dog died; not even when he was in Japan, separated from his loved ones, working and living alone in a hostile environment with the others who maintained a healthy brotherly relationship with him but refused to take a step closer to open his heart …
He had always been proud of himself - the logical one, the emotionally-stable one, the quiet one, the good-looking one, the witty one, but now he wished so much that he could have been Park Yoochun, the Park Yoochun who could kiss Kim Junsu senseless on the couch, the Park Yoochun who could call out to Kim Junsu shamelessly, the Park Yoochun who could share secret glances and shy smiles with Kim Junsu even in front of the camera, the Park Yoochun who could bring tears to Junsu’s eyes with his musical compositions …
He could only be the Shim Changmin who squabbled with Kim Junsu over the slightest thing, the Shim Changmin who annoyed Kim Junsu so much, the Shim Changmin who was secretly happy to be grouped with Kim Junsu on their promotional tour, the Shim Changmin who grasped Kim Junsu’s hand but knew his heart is thinking of someone else …
Stupid, Changmin smacks himself, you’re a fool.
He should have known, from the first time Junsu nursed him when he had a terrible cold whilst they were in Japan, that Kim Junsu was danger. He was poison. An extremely addictive poison without any form of antidote, that left the victim wanting for more, and unable to control himself if he were to aggravate the correct emotions within his body.
Kim Junsu was Shim Changmin’s poison. With fluid-like movements, a perfect, curvy body, and a pure, untainted, lively spirit with the best looking grin ever, he was his desire, his heart, his soul - and his ultimate downfall.
Changmin could imagine a smiling, cheeky Junsu before his eyes, with a label of a skull stuck to his chest, Poison: Do not consume internally. Once spread, it will not stop.
Changmin buries his face in his hands. What am I to do … Junsu … The image of intimate Yoochun and Junsu and the sounds of their lovemaking in the shower echoed in Changmin’s mind.
Once spread, it will not stop … Till Death.
